Marriott Irvine Spectrum Wins 5-Star Award for Best Hotel Interior

MONOGRAM Hospitality Interiors at BBGM, a specialty studio focused on design for the luxury hospitality and residential markets, is proud to share that the Marriott Irvine Spectrum has been named an Award Winner at the 2018-2019 Americas Property Awards.  MONOGRAM was honored at the USA Property Awards at The Toronto Marriott Downtown Eaton Centre Hotel on September 20th for their Interior Design of the Marriott Irvine Spectrum hotel, where they competed against the best property professionals across the USA & Americas region to be recognized in the Interior Design category.

MONOGRAM received a total of three accolades during last month’s ceremony in Toronto, including Award Winner – Hotel Interior – California, USAthe 5-Star Award – Best Hotel Interior, California, USA; and Regional Nominee – Best Hotel Interior USA.  As a 5-Star Award Winner for California and a Regional Nominee for Best Hotel Interior in the US, MONOGRAM will go on to compete in the international competition at the International Property Awards, taking place on December 3rd in London.

MONOGRAM’s interior design inspiration embraces the heritage of the area. Open spaces, authentic materials, and weathered textures hark to nostalgic farmhouse references and are balanced with sleek, modern materials and forms. The hotel mixes the best of state-of-the-art workplace and function facilities with wellness and lifestyle amenities that hark to an urban resort. The Marriott Irvine Spectrum holds an elite position as one of only two Marriott hotel properties to test run Alexa for Hospitality. Integration with Amazon’s Alexa for Hospitality allows guests to get information, enjoy entertainment, request concierge services and control connected devices, all with simple voice commands.

Boasting 13,000 square feet of immersive, tech-savvy public area, function spaces include a 5,000-square-foot ballroom, 4,000-square-foot event lawn, and additional break-out meeting rooms. The 2,000-square-foot fitness center breaks the mold from the traditional windowless gym with two stories of open space and an abundance of natural light. A unique departure from accommodations at similar full-service hotels, the planning phases included the addition of 50 premier extended-stay suites. The Presidential Bedroom is configured for a luxurious, spa-like experience that incorporates a standalone modern tub, unique vanity and separate powder area in the en-suite bath.

While tailoring the design approach for each client, the MONOGRAM Hospitality Interiors studio takes great pride in being able to support the individual missions of client companies and brands by echoing their values and improving their bottom line through innovative design solutions.
